This is a brief description of some of the new features added to Macro Express. For a complete description of these
and other features, view the Macro Express 3 Help on the Web.
We have redesigned the program with a new looks and feel. You can delete or move multiple macros in the Macro Explorer
at one time. A right click menu for the Macro Explorer was added. You can now position and size practically all popup
windows. A new Global Except option for playback of macros was added. This will allow a macro to play back in all
programs Except the one you designate.
There is no longer a fixed limit to the number of macros that may be stored in a single macro file. The limit is based
on your computer's Operating System, Processor speed and memory. The restriction on the number of characters per macro
has also been removed.
New And/Or/Xor commands have been included, along with Case and Switch commands, to enhance the conditional statements.
Several new If commands have been added such as If Ping Successful, If Operating System version and If Online.
This has probably been our most requested feature. We now have this working so that a macro will wait until a web page
has completely loaded (text and graphics) before continuing to the next macro command. This will work with Internet
Explorer only.
This is likely the most powerful feature added. You can have macros take actions based on a window control - such as a
button, edit box, title bar, etc. This opens up a number of new possibilities for taking macros to a higher level.
Besides password protecting individual macros, you can now password protect entire macro files or require a password on
Macro Express startup.
A number of new FTP commands have been added. Make, change or delete FTP directories. Retrieve or send files, connect
or disconnect and more.
The Windows Registry commands allow you to read or write to the registry, as well as create or delete registry keys.
We have added many new scheduling options for the playback of macros. Practically any type of schedule can be
established.
There is a new option to automatically insert mouse coordinates into the Mouse Move command. This will greatly speed
the scripting of macros that use the mouse.
Added support for setting file attributes to Archive, System, Hidden, or Read Only status. An Empty Recycle Bin command
is also new. The Process an ASCII Delimited Text File command now supports Comma Delimited Text (.csv) and Tab
Delimited Text (.txt) files. The new Wait File Exists and Wait File Ready commands allow a macro to wait for a file to
be created.
