Version 1.0q

  1. Bug Fix: Creating a "new" macro file when the current macro file had popup menu items in the system tray could cause an access violation later when adding or modifying a popup menu or loading in a different macro file.
  2. Bug Fix: It was not possible to import or export popup menu macros along with the macros that were in them and have them correlate correctly after the import or export. This is now possible as long as the macros in the popup menu are imported or exported at the same time as the popup menu. Any macro that is not imported or exported along with the popup menu will be removed from the popup menu as an entry.

Version 1.0p

  1. Bug Fix: When deleting a macro, it could adversely affect the list of items in pop-up menus depending on the macro being deleted.
  2. Bug Fix: Under certain circumstances, ShortKeys could stop functioning until another macro was run. This condition will reset itself automatically now.
  3. Bug Fix: It was possible to get a run time error 103 at the end of a capture.

NOTE: No version 1.0o as it looks like 1.00

Version 1.0n

  1. The "Change Directory/Folder" browse button displayed a dialog box wanting a file name. This has been corrected to a dialog box wanting a folder name.
  2. The ShortKey buffer is now cleared when adding a new macro to prevent accidental playback of a macro.
  3. The "Shut Down Program" option would not be checked when trying to re-edit this option from the scripting editor.
  4. Macro Express did not correctly recognize right and left mouse button commands if the right and left buttons had been swapped via Windows.
  5. The "Popup Menu" boxes were designed to hold a maximum of 36 entries. The window that allows buiding of the Popup Menu allowed more than 36 entries to be entered. This would cause an error if "icons" were used when the menu was popped up.
  6. The "Caps Lock" key status was not always interpreted correctly when a macro played back due to changes in version 1.0j.
  7. Left and top positions for a "Complex Pause" could reverse themselves if re-editing a macro via the scripting editor.
  8. It was possible to run two instances of the Mouse Locator utility. Doing so would eventually cause an error.

Version 1.0m

  1. Bug Fix: If the "Delay Command" edit window was accessed and the option was being used to place an icon in the System Tray, then the minimize button on the main window would no longer minimize the program. It was also possible to receive an error message when clicking on the Macro Express system icon after this occurred.

NOTE: No version 1.0l as it looks like 1.01

Version 1.0k

  1. Corrected a memory leak that was only present if running Windows NT.

Version 1.0j

  1. Added option to allow right click of column header to sort by that column.
  2. Macro Express now detects the screen resolution prior to playing back a macro. Otherwise mouse coordinates could playback wrong if the screen resolution was changed after Macro Express was loaded.
  3. Dead Keys were not being translated correctly on Windows NT. Dead Keys are effected by ShortKey usage. If no ShortKeys are defined, dead keys will be processed as normal. If ShortKeys are defined, most dead keys will now be processed as normal. We have noted at least one instance where Windows does not report back correctly that a dead key is being processed.
  4. You can now use a backspace to correct a ShortKey while typing it out and it will still play back the macro.
  5. Using the system tray option, clicking on the "Minimize" button, now hides the program immediately instead of minimizing it and then hiding it.
  6. Macro Express no longer shares memory directly with system wide hooks it uses. This was done to cure a couple "access violations" that had been reported.
  7. "Program" Specific macros that used "Run Macro If Program Running" did not work.
  8. "Program" Specific macros that used "Run Macro If Program On Top" would sometimes not work due to change in version 1.0h.
  9. If a global macro and program specific macro existed with the same hot key and the scripting editor or modify direct editor was invoked on the program specific macro, the activation would incorrectly indicate a Window specific macro.

Version 1.0i

  1. Bug Fix: Version 1.0h introduced a potential problem of Keyboard and Mouse slowing down.

Version 1.0h

  1. Added "Mouse Locator" utility. Mouse Locator is selected under the "Tools" menu option and is a stay on top utility that constantly shows the mouse position based on the entire screen and on the window that is active. A handy tool for determining mouse coordinates for your macros.
  2. Pressing letters to spell out hot keys and shortkeys on the main window of Macro Express will now take you to that macro.
  3. It is possible for Windows to report extremely negative values for mouse locations in certain circumstances (i.e. right click on a program in the windows task bar and drag the mouse with the right button down). Mouse movement recording will now ignore such values.
  4. Optimized shared memory between Macro Express and the system wide hooks it uses. Also removed certain processes from the system wide hooks and placed them in Macro Express itself. This was done to prevent a few odd and random crashes that were still being reported.
  5. After re-ordering macros in a popup menu, they would not remain re-ordered if you went back into to edit the popup menu.
  6. Clicking "File | Hide Macro Express" from the main menu (only available when the system tray icon option used) could sometimes leave an entry in the task bar.

Version 1.0g

  1. The Keyboard Remapping option now only employs its system wide monitoring if there any keys remapped. Also added a "timing check" to this monitoring when it is active.
  2. Bug Fix: When capturing a macro to a hot key, pressing the hot key to finish capturing would not work *if* the SYSTEM capturing hot key had the same letter in it as the hot key you were capturing to.

Version 1.0f

  1. Enabled all screens to be able to show "high contrast white on black" control panel option.
  2. Changed shortcut on "Remove Macro" button from "v" to "e" as the "v" was being used by the "Activate Macro" button.
  3. Changed the method of determining if the caps lock key is on or off when a timed macro executes.
  4. The "Disable Screen Saver" option now simply prevents a screen saver from going off if Macro Express is running and there are timed macros. It does nothing to the Screen Saver setting in the Control Panel.
  5. Bug Fix: ShortKeys were not sorted correctly.
  6. Bug Fix: An internal timing problem could potentially cause other programs to error out and terminate.

Version 1.0e

  1. Windows 98 changed the way a window is brought to the front of the screen. Instead of bringing a window to the front, it blinks the program's icon in the taskbar. This had numerous side effects in Macro Express such as not being able to use the "Activate Window" command, not being able to bring up Macro Express using the hot key to do so and having certain windows not have the proper focus such as macro popup menus. These will all now work properly in Windows 98.
  2. If 2 repeat counters were used in the same repeat loop, the very last value of the second repeat counter would not be placed in the macro.

Version 1.0d

  1. Bug Fix: The "Copy" feature in the scripting editor did not always work properly. Results could be a "Pointer Error" when clicking on the "Ok" button after using the copy button OR after saving the macro and coming to look at it again, the copied items could have a different value.
  2. Bug Fix: If the Caps Lock key was on when a Timed Macro executed, lower case letters would be upper cased and upper case letters would be lower cased.

Version 1.0c

  1. Enhancement: Added 21 Mouse Hot Keys consisting of: LMouse, Shift+LMouse, Ctrl+LMouse, Alt+LMouse, Ctrl+Shift+LMouse, Ctrl+Alt+LMouse, Shift+Alt+LMouse, RMouse, Shift+RMouse, Ctrl+RMouse, Alt+RMouse, Ctrl+Shift+RMouse, Ctrl+Alt+RMouse, Shift+Alt+RMouse, MMouse, Shift+MMouse, Ctrl+MMouse, Alt+MMouse, Ctrl+Shift+MMouse, Ctrl+Alt+MMouse, Shift+Alt+MMouse
  2. Bug Fix: Popup Menus that were invoked via the System Tray would only work correctly if Macro Express itself was placed in the System Tray.
  3. Bug Fix: If Macro Express was placed in the System Tray, then doing a capture from within Macro Express (not using a System Hot Key) would not properly return focus to the previous window that was being used prior to invoking Macro Express.

Version 1.0b

  1. Bug Fix: Corrected problem where Macro Express could inadvertently block access to special mouse driver functions.
  2. Bug Fix: Corrected problem where an error could occur when selecting the "icon" on the Modify Macro Directly window.
  3. Bug Fix: Double clicking on a Mouse Move command in the Scripting Editor would bring up the Mouse Command Window set on the Left Button Click command instead of the Mouse Move command.

Version 1.0a

  1. Serious Bug Fix: Hot Keys would not invoke macros in certain programs.
  2. Bug Fix: In the scripting editor, the width and height of a Window Resize command would be saved out with reversed values.

Version 1.0

  1. Initial Release.
