Clipboard Text

This activation method starts a macro based on the contents of the clipboard. Select whether the clipboard does or does not match the text entered into the edit field. Or choose whether the clipboard contains or does not contain specific text.

Macro Express Explorer > Macro > Add Macro - Or click on New Macro Icon

Equals / Does not Equal

These options require that the text in the clipboard match or not match the word or phrase selected as a trigger. For example, suppose Macro Express is listed as the clipboard text trigger and the Equals option is selected. The macro starts when the words Macro Express are copied to the clipboard.

The macro starts if the activate option is changed to Does not Equal and text other than Macro Express is copied to the clipboard.

Use the Does not Equal option with caution as this may trigger macros unexpectedly when copying items to the clipboard.

Contains / Does not Contain

These options require that the text in the clipboard contain or not contain the word or phrase selected as a trigger. For example, suppose Macro Express is listed as the clipboard text trigger and the Contains option is selected. The macro starts when the words "I really like Macro Express" are copied to the clipboard. It plays back because the trigger - Macro Express - is part of the clipboard contents.

The macro starts if the option is changed to Does not Contain and text that does not include the words Macro Express is copied to the clipboard.

Use the Does not Contain option with caution as this may be trigger macros unexpectedly when copying items to the clipboard.
