If File Attribute

When using My Computer or Windows Explorer, right click on a file name to open the menu. Left mouse click on the Properties menu item to see more details about the file. The lower portion of the Properties window displays some or all of the following File Attributes - Archive, System, Hidden and Read Only.

Script Editor > Expand Logic Category > If File Attribute

The If File Attribute command is used to test the status of a file attribute. First select or enter the file name and path in the Filename field. Then select the attribute to test.

For example, check to see if the file is marked as Read Only. If it is, remove the Read Only flag by using the Set File Attributes command.
