Captured macro not working unless screen remains unchanged during playback

First we would like to say that while we offer the capability of mouse capture, we would personally recommend against it for any serious macro development. There are too many variables that can change making it unreliable in many instances.

The capturing process can capture keystrokes, mouse movements and clicks and the timing information between each action. That’s basically it. It does not capture anything else. You can set the Capture options to capture the mouse relative to the window you are capturing in. This should cure the problem of where the window is located on the screen, but you would still need to make sure the window is the same size each time you run the macro. You can use the Window Resize command in your macro to set the size of the Window.

To change the Capture options in Macro Express 3 click Options, Preferences, Capture. To change the Capture options in Macro Express 5 and Macro Express Pro click Options, Preferences, General and the Capture tab.
