How do I identify the position of a particular character within a string of text in a text string variable or on the clipboard?
If the text is copied to the clipboard, first save the clipboard value to a text string variable. Use the Variable Set String command and select the Set Value from Clipboard option.
Next use the Variable Set Integer command, select the Get Position of Text in a Text Variable option and enter the character to be identified. The position of the character selected is saved to an Integer variable. So if the character looked for is the tenth character in the string, the Integer value will be 10.
