Is there anything different about the Alt + F6 hotkey combination?

Yes, that key combination, along with others, is reserved by Windows. Alt+F6 and Alt+Shift+F6 are global hotkeys used to cycle through opened tool windows. Macro Express is not able to override the hotkeys that are reserved by Windows.
