The Macro Express Explorer toolbar and/or the menu bar is missing.

Macro Express 3

Version 3.9 and later
Close the Macro Express Explorer window Right click on the icon in the system tray and select Tools | Restore Toolbars.

Versions prior to v3.9
Near the upper right hand corner of the Macro Express Explorer window you will see the name of the .mex macro file in use and its location. Write down the location or remember where it is.

Close Macro Express by right clicking on the icon in the system tray and left clicking on Terminate Macro Express. Open Windows Explorer to the location where you installed Macro Express. The default location is c:\Program Files\Macro Express 3 or c:\Program Files (x86)\Macro Express 3. In this folder double click on the macdef.exe file to run a small utility to restore the program to its default settings.

Restart Macro Express and the menu is restored. You will need to open Options | Preferences and reset anything that you prefer different from the default values. If your macro file does not open after restarting, then click on File | Open File – browse to the location of the .mex file you wrote down and load it in.

Macro Express 5 and Pro

Version 4.4.0.1 and later
Close the Macro Express Pro – Explorer window Right click on the icon in the system tray and select Tools | Restore Toolbars.

Versions prior to v4.4.0.1
In the bottom panel of the Macro Express Pro – Explorer window you will see the name of the .mex macro file in use and its location. Write down the location or remember where it is. If you have more than one macro file open, then check the location of each .mex file.

Close Macro Express by right clicking on the icon in the system tray and left clicking on Terminate Macro Express. Open Windows Explorer to the location where you installed Macro Express Pro. The default location is c:\Program Files\Macro Express Pro or c:\Program Files (x86)\Macro Express Pro. In this folder double click on the macdef.exe file to run a small utility to restore the program to its default settings.
